Mike Maloney from MSA Professional Services is nothing short of AMAZING. I emailed him Friday and let him know that after further investigation the East Side location was not going to work. We don't want to damage any trees and moving forward could potentially damage some very old trees. That was something Jennie and I have never intended, nor would allow.
Mike had already done a lot of work on the East Side park and I was worried he would be upset and would not want to continue working with us. His response, "I'm all in. "
Thank you Mike!
That in itself was amazing but by the end of the day he had emailed a picture of the newest proposed location, Norse Park, with 2 potential playground sites identified. I asked if he could add a parking area with about 30 additional spaces and several ADA accessible parking spaces.
He let me know there was an ice rink there in the winter which I did not know but he was able to add the parking area while still preserving some of the ice rink.
This picture is simply a proposal . Please understand that nothing is certain.
This, again, is a proposed site. As you can see we do have some options with this site. The major downfall is there is no shade. This is something that we hope to remedy with the addition of pergolas and adding trees and other shading features. We think this site may be the best option yet as it does leave us with some flexibility.
What do you think of this new site?
Thank you as always to Mike Maloney and MSA Professional Services for all of your hard work !
