City-Wide Informational Meeting and other stuff

Today we scheduled a City-Wide Informational Meeting for December 1st, 2011 at the Stoughton Fire Station Meeting Room from 5-7pm.

Information about the meeting will go out in the Tower Times; a city newsletter that is sent to every household.We will also notify the Stoughton Courier HUB and information should be mentioned in the Senior Center Newsletter.

We hope to get maximum visibility before this event to allow residents the opportunity to come and find out what the Park is all about, ask questions, address concerns, and volunteer to help. It is scheduled about 2 weeks before our first fundraiser and we hope to gain a lot of volunteers for that event because we will need a lot of help.

Today I met with the Stoughton Area Community Foundation to ask for help in either establishing a non-profit, setting up a pass through arrangement, or some other arrangement that will allow us to operate under the umbrella of a non-profit. We would like to ensure that all donations are tax-deductible and provide our supporters with the assurance that we are not functioning as a for-profit organization.

It was wonderful to meet with them and we appreciate their time and consideration immensely and look forward to working with them in some capacity in the future. Thank you Stoughton Area Community Foundation.
